Normas sobre Detecção, Avaliação e Tratamento da Hipertensão Arterial
Comissão Ad hoc para a Normalização da terapêutica da Hipertensão Arterial - MINSA, Angola 2007
Resumo
Em Novembro de 1999, a OMS / África, publicitou as primeiras "Guidelines" para a abordagem da Hipertensão arterial no contexto africano.
Na introdução dessas recomendações realçava Em África, a Hipertensão arterial afecta mais de 15% da população adulta urbana, e em números ligeiramente inferiores, a das áreas rurais; Manifesta-se com maior frequência em adultos, mais jovens do que na maior parte dos países desenvolvidos; Na grande maioria dos países africanos a HTA será diagnosticada, por profissionais não médicos, sem competências no manuseamento da doença e com poucos recursos, em medicamentos e equipamentos
